History

Jen-Coat was founded in 1972 in Westfield, Massachusetts. The company began in the extrusion coating business and has expanded to become a significant participant in the flexible packaging industry. The company was sold by its founders to American Business Products in 1990. The Company prospered as a division of this publicly traded office supply company.  American Business Products was purchased by Mail-Well, Inc. in early 2000.  Management partnered with CGW Southeast Partners to purchase the business from Mail-Well, in September, 2000.
