Jen-Coat has a major presence in the foil pouch market. The primary pouch structure produced for this market is “Paper/Poly/Foil/Poly” and can be made with a wide range of sealant resins and coextrusion variations. This four-ply structure is typically manufactured on our tandem lines, and can be supplied plain to the market or printed internally, in up to 10 colors, in line or process work. Typical end uses are individual pouches for dry powders and mixes such as hot cocoa, oatmeal, soups, drink mixes, and spices. Other larger pouch applications include, noodle, pasta and side dish end uses.
Jen-Coat is well positioned to support the fast-growing pouch film market, utilizing our tandem extrusion, adhesive laminating, metallizing and printing capabilities. These structures can be simple three-ply laminations or up to five-ply multi layer substrates incorporating a wide range of extrusion and coextrusion technologies. Foil replacement pouch is one area of emphasis here, which utilizes our capability of combining high barrier films with the latest in coextrusion technology.
